Weekend Update

This weekend was so busy from the get-go.
Friday morning, I arrived at work and had my morning meeting with my editor, only to find out I had two meetings to cover and four stories to write between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. The afternoon consisted of two interviews for features due Monday.
I'm pretty sure the only reason I met all my deadlines was because I knew what my weekend had in store for me: chaos, but the good kind.

Fridays are usually very lame around my house. Jason works overnights, and I don't have many friends since here since I moved, and the ones I do have, are technically Jason's friends. So I was looking forward to this particular Friday all week.

As soon as I left work Friday night, I drove to Charleston to see SaRADler, one of the great and amazing friends I had while in St. Louis. She's now attending school at EIU, and after a two year hiatus, we're working on becoming as close as we once were.

If Friday was any indication, it's going to take no time at all.
We joined some friends of hers, and couple with four guys next door, I was schooled in the ways of beer pong.
We later walked to a local house party, which turned out to be as lame as I expected. I suddenly remembered one of the reasons I hated college so much.

After walking back to the apartment, we decided we were starved and went to Steak 'N' Shake, blaring Metro Station as loud as possible and dancing as good/bad as one can while in a car.

After arriving back at the apartment for a second time, Sarah went to sleep and I continued to play beer pong. I pretty much dominated.

Finally went to sleep around 4 a.m., sleeping for about an two hours total. Smoking is already terrible for you, which I realize, but I never really realize how much I smoke while I'm drinking until the next day. Friday's total: 42. Gross.

Pictures from Friday... I wish I would have taken more:

My drink consisted of Vodka, Peach Schnapps and Mountain Dew. Amazing.

I'm pretty sure they were dancing to some terrible hip-hop song that is only cool when drinking.

This was Nick, my beer pong partner and friend for the night. I liked him.

Sarah asked Nick on a date. He agreed. Then she told him she really has a penis and said "Gotcha, bitch!" This was his reaction.

After driving the long drive back home, Jason and our friend, Kehrt, were waiting for me on the front porch. I had to be ready to leave in three hours for "Couples Night" in Evansville with friends of ours. I slept for another hour or so and got all spiffy.

We all ate at the Olive Garden. By "we all" I mean Jason and I, Jamie and Kyle, Cheyenne and Megan and Brittany and Kristen. After our ridiculous $85 bill (we paid for four people), we decided to go to the casino. Most of us had never been before. Cheyenne won $12 bucks and I won $25 and Jason won $2. I wasn't allowed to bring my camera into the casino, so that sucked. There were some real winners.

After we parted ways, Jason and I came home, built a fort in the living room, and watched movies until we fell asleep. We both woke up with terrible backaches; I guess we didn't use enough padding in the fort. Today was spent getting groceries, cleaning house, doing laundry and just general stuff to get ready for the week.

Here are the pictures from Saturday night; notice how much better the quality is since I had my real camera with me:

Jason sharing his weiner with Kyle.

Kristen was amazed, yet terrified, that Jason could fit his weiner in his mouth.

Jason held me at knife-point for a kiss. It was kind of cute... in a psycho kind of way.

I'm honestly convinced there is not a cuter couple alive.

He's too good looking for his own good.

I'm supposed to be imitating intimidating too all the 'bitches and hoes'

Jason seeing how far he can protrude his chest like a superhero.
