Week 0 -- Introduction(s)

The first thing Piere noticed about the "most powerful" man in the world was his short stature. Piere himself wasn't tall by his people's standards, but this "Emperor" had to be a whole head shorter than him. Surely his people would have preferred a man who could come across as powerful and imposing as the country he ran

Aw, thanks. :) I'm not sure if it's gonna tie in to any other pieces later in the season or not but we'll see.

Well if it does, it does - if it doesn't, it doesn't. As seen in my intro, I'm a big fan of starting stuff then putting them aside ;)

I have plenty of things I've started and set aside -- and this piece is already actually part of a much larger 'verse, it's just a part I haven't played with (much). So there's that, at least? :)

It's sort of validating how many people also have lots of projects going... I don't talk to other writers much except through Idol, and I've only done the one season, so I've been sort of isolated about it and kicking myself for my perceived faults, but perhaps it's just the process of writing - starting, pausing, picking up later...

I think there is definitely an element of start and stop with writing. A good friend is in the throes of writer's block real bad right now and I hope Idol helps her kick it to the curb. But I have a lot of worlds and a lot of stories I've started but haven't finished, so I'm trying to work on putting the final pieces together for a lot of them. :)
