Blah

So...I'm sick. Blah. I guess it's a really bad cold...I don't have a fever, but Friday night my throat was sore, my nose was congested, and I had a frequent cough. This morning, when I stood up after getting out of bed, I felt wicked dizzy. I think part of it's because I've been stressing myself out lately. I work well under stress, but really, Gina, enough is enough...
And to add insult to injury, I attempted to get somebody to replace me at work (yes, they make you find your own replacements at my job), but the only two numbers I knew were Kaitlin's and April's. I knew Kaitlin would already be working Saturday afternoon, so I didn't call her, and I left a message on April's phone. Apparently nothing ever happened there, though, so today I got a scathing message from my boss on the phone about how I'm supposed to find somebody to replace myself and all of this...That's all resolved now, though, because after I heard the message I called Papa Gino's. Granted, I talked to a different manager, so I still may get Hell from the one who called me when I see him again (although by next weekend, hopefully he'll have forgotten about the whole thing *prays*).
On the plus side, I did get to go into Harvard Square today! Though I was sick...and I didn't have any money...those were the two downsides. We went to the Harvard Coop to get my textbook for the Harvard Extension Course, only to find that the professors haven't even put an order in for a book yet...which is strange, since on the site it specifically says, "Go get the Sourcebook at Harvard Coop." So, that was pointless, since I was too sick to even appreciate the books all around me. Afterwards, we ate lunch at this burger place my dad adores called "Barkley's". They've got all sorts of awards and their trademark is naming burgers after politicians and celebrities. I had a "John Kerry," to be precise (a mushroom and swiss cheese burger, my usual). They were pretty good, but I didn't think they were exceptional or anything...I've had burgers of equal quality, if not superior, at the Ninety-Nine. Afterwards, we went to a foreign bookstore Blair reccommended to me...Schoenhoff's, I think it was called? That was awesome...I bought a much-needed Chinese-English dictionary. They had the cutest little stuffed historical figures! There was one of Marx, Einstein, Kahlo, Darwin, and Bach (the last one was a music box, too! Yay!) After we left Harvard Square, we stopped by Building Nineteen so I could buy a white lab coat for a tres chere five dollars (I need it for my history day play; in addition to Phineas Gage, I'm playing three doctors, so I need something to differentiate between them).
So, yes, that was my Saturday in a nutshell...and here I only meant to inform you that I was sick! Well, off to shower and homework now...at 11:18 PM...
