That every two month drop in? Why hello!
-I'm mostly settled into my new place. I'm living out of suitcases as I don't own a chest of drawers, and my bedside tables are piled boxes, but I bought a big ass tv because I truly know how to set proper priorities. It's nice to have something finally that is mine though, rather than renting. At least as much as a condo can be yours when there is a board that governs most of your decisions....
-that trip to Switzerland became an actuality rather than an abstract. My bank account has never been emptier, except maybe post graduation from university (hello OMFG expensive country). It was the stupidest time to do it, but if we hadn't done it when we did it likely never would have happened. I'll continue to keep my books in boxes rather than buy proper bookshelves for now, and keep the same set of four dishes I've always had :) My mother and I came back without having killed each other and still speaking - that by virtue made the trip more of a success than I expected. I loved the country a lot more than I expected; absolutely gorgeous, and I would love to go back there and hike again without a sixty year old woman who was scared every time I got more than ten feet away from her...
- I'm a little at odds personally, but then who isn't usually?
-...nope, I don't really have anything else exciting in my life
I haven't commented much, but I have scrolled and checked into to keep up with everybody here. I'm always glad to hear when people are doing well, and feel for you when things are going bad. Considering some of you I've 'known' through LJ for a long time, it's amazing to see how much things have changed in your lives over the years. Also, you know, makes me feel old - but whatever.
smutty_claus signups are coming soon. It's the first year signing up isn't an automatic, so it will be a last minute decision on Sept 1st I think. I can pinpoint that fest and
yuletide last year as the last time I was even semi-active online. I don't think I ever even reposted the fic, or properly responded to comments or gifters...or anything. /bad, horrible
idea_of_sarcasm I don't think you can forget how to write, but sometimes it sure feels like it when you haven't even opened Microsoft Word in forever though I keep having the best of intentions. I've enjoyed fandom, but I've always enjoyed writing even more. As it happens less and less as the years go on, it makes me regretful in a lot of ways.
