good 'ole fashioned rock
In the hours of nothing that work is these days, I have been listening to various musics on NPR. I have found their concert series to be quite good, playing shows recorded at the 9:30 Club in our nervous capitol city. Today I am listening to The Black Keys show from two days ago. I have to say, it sounds like a show I want to be at, with have a tall one in my hand and a smile on my red-lit face.
At the moment it sounds a bit like heaven. So I sit here asking myself, "self, why are you not listening to this band more than you already are?" I have to reply to myself, "self, I don't know, I just don't know."
On a side note, I put a new battery in my iPod. Even after what would seem like my recent bitching about the annoyance with the accessory d'an, I don't see the point of buying another 400 dollar unit when I could have spent the 35 I did to get a battery that would last twice as long as my old one.
And now I know what I'll be putting into heavy rotation for the next week.
