Short-timer
I don't really know if Tam still follows LJ that much so she may or may not want me to post this, but...
we're moving to San Diego!
That's right, Tam found a great job down in SD that was too good to turn down. She'll have a bit more of a sane schedule down there and it's a step up for her career.
The downside is that I'll have to leave my job, but they didn't really step up to the plate when I told them that they would need to do something to keep me in LA.
We'll be in LA for the next couple months while we look for a house to buy, and we'll be able to get a lot more for our money down there than in LA/SF ever offered. We'll have a yard! Yeah, I'm excited to have a yard again.
Tam will be doing 3 days a week in SD, staying with her rents those days, and working from LA the other two. Once we find a house and actually close on it, I'll move down and hopefully start a new job soon after. I'm going to try to work something out to stay with KTV until September somehow, so I can actually vest and get something if they go public/get bought. I can do what I do remotely, but without a server it won't really work and I don't see them dishing out the $$$ to set up the kind of server they really need.
That's about it. I'm playing in a charity golf tournament at the end of June in SD with Tam's dad and my brother-in-law (Tam's sister's husband) and possibly a scratch golfer. We're playing best ball, hopefully using one or two of my shots that day.
