I have the two LJ's - private and public. I may trim off my blogger one - I haven't made up my mind yet. For me certain things became too painful/awkward to place together.

Hmmm... I'm still trying to figure out how I want to navigate public/private.

I still want to post a collection of interesting articles, but I suppose that'll be public/private depending on what type of commentary I want to.

Too bad free speech has ramifications...
Too bad I'm just not sure how much I want to express about which issues. Too bad I can't figure out a free lj template that I actually like ;-)

... typing in this comment box is making my eyes go buggy ;-)

Oh wow! How do you use them if they're located outside of LJ though? me dumb cuz I can't find the html edit option like I'm used to using in blogger ;-)

That's an "lj community" one and there are instructions on how to set it up on the actual theme styles. :) Good luck!

I wanted to know your thoughts on this:

How the tate got streetwise.

Oooooooh! I wish I had time to read the whole thing! I only skimmed a bit. I love bansky, so I'm happy to see him so successful, and I"m happy to see a new generation of curators give street art the tip o' the hat that it deserves. I think galleries need to make sure they're not losing their capacity for critical discussion while getting in on what some might just call a trend, but I think need to make sure they realize how much they're "messing" with something by getting involved... the last thing we need are more "art stars" because, iyam, they skew the perception of how artists actually live. There are so many people with amazing ideas not being able make a living because of how income and rewards are distributed. I have growing issues about the distribution of wealth in a system that prizes popularity over quality, and that allows such a disconnect between spheres of activity ( ... )

Maybe for the posts you could put up the articles on the public one and add a link to the public post in your private one for commentary? Urgh - complicated. :D
