Recommendations! John Scalzi turns out to be a rather decent writer. Old Man's War was a fun Starship Troopers homage. The Ghost Brigade polishes up his universe to a mirror shine. Last Colony, the last of the trilogy, is alright, but not quite as good as the second book.
