Random Self Indulgence 1 - 10
1. It makes me sad that Adam fans are sniping at each other over Beg For Mercy and Monte's comments. I am hoping that all is well with Adam and Monte---because I ship their friendship.
2. I feel like Adam looks in my userpic today. Freaked out by the world, alienated, eyes wide shut, not sure whether I'm frightened or frightening and sexy. Ha! Not!sexy. I am blessed by many friends and great family--so have no right to feel the kind of existential alone that I feel today.
3. Tweets are an odd and amazing thing. I have now had tweets responded to by Cheeks, Neil and Chely Wright. It kind of shocks me to have an actual interaction with these folks. Is it still ok to write about Cheeks and Neil? RPS is how I entered fandom....but I do get why it is still controversial....and yet, it seems to be what I want to write.
4. Does anyone else feel like they're cheating on Idol when they watch X-factor? (Jury is out on whether I will truly engage with X-factor)
5. The fact that Sara Gilbert really is a lesbian makes me happy. Glad to know my dyke-dar still occasionally works.
6. I HATE Logo's A-list shows. No one in my queer community is as self-absorbed and shallow as the men featured on these shows. (She says, wondering if anyone has noticed how self-absorbed and shallow she is lately.) I try to think, ah well, Snooki doesn't exactly represent everyone in New Jersey. But it makes me cringe that this may be what folks will think about gay people. But then I realize that I don't want there only to be shows that highlight "good and worthy" homosexuals. I don't know....why the hell am I even thinking about this?
7. While Zachary Quinto coming out was not a surprise--he did it with such grace that I have to shake my pom poms \0/
8. Speaking of cheerleaders--I still have this fantasy of producing a show for you-tube that would include interviews my odd friwildly varied assortment of friends who have told me they were once cheerleaders. I would then have them teach me a cheer and we would perform it together. It would be a thing of great beauty.
9. I want someone to write a gen fic about Adam and Neil Patrick Harris competing for the same part on Broadway.
