Now that I've got your attention, here's a collage of my recent reading-all books (and audiobooks) with four-letter titles. (What's up with that?) Mostly YA this month. Not sure why...
BADD. Tim Tharp is one of my favorite authors. It took me a few chapters to fall in love with the swaggering, prickly Ceejay, the younger sister of a brother suffering from PTSD, but in the end she's downright heroic. (Sort of an edgier D.J. Schwenk from Catherine Gilbert Murdock's DAIRY QUEEN.)
FEED. I listened to this on audio. A true classic; truly depressing.
RASH. Smart, dystopian with a wry sense of humor. Deals with a lot of the same issues as FEED -- corporate control, rampant consumerism -- but funny.
