Today on the
Mixed-Up Files, I talk with Deborah Wiles and editor David Levithan about Deborah's latest book, Countdown. I love Deborah's work -- every word of it. If you've read any of the books in her Aurora County trilogy-Love, Ruby Lavender; Each Little Bird That Sings; The Aurora County All-Stars-you know what I mean. Countdown, a historical novel set in 1962, brings a new thrill--a visual one, with scrapbook images and snippets worked directly into the story.
Along with talking about Countdown, Deborah has some beautiful things to say about how and why she writes. I hope you'll stop by!
