Ida adores Amy. She thinks she is cute, sweet and a genuinely all-round awesome person.
Ida loves that fact that Amy doesn't ever judge her or think that her sometimes stupid ideas and plans are ridiculous. She relies on Amy to be there whenever she's got a new plan forming because otherwise who will she run it past? D:
In some way she feels like the big sister in the relationship, even thought they are the same age. This is mainly because Amy is so eager and happy that she can sometimes seem younger and more carefree to Ida. Then again, Ida's pretty happy and carefree too.
Another part of this is the fact that Amy listens to Ida a lot. Ida will usually do all the talking and scheming, telling her of what she's planning next. It's not that she's conceited it's that she's too distracted by what's happening to her to ask Amy about how she is and what stuff she's done lately. In a way the speaker/listener roles remind her of sisters that she's seen on TV and it's usually the speaker that's the older one.
There are definitely two extremely different yet very similar (woo for contradictions) personalities here that seemed to have clashed together and worked in a sisterly friendship together. That's how Ida sees it anyway.
