HELP! QUICK!

I just found out I'm getting possession of my apartment this weekend, and I have to make a decision on what Internet provider to use in the Norridge area. That means, DSL through... some company? And cable through Comcast? The problem is that I don't have a land line, so getting DSL compared to cable on web sites is impossible with no phone number

Yep, naked cable is available, but I don't know about DSL, which you are voting against anyway.

note that generally if you get naked cable internet, a little splicing wizardy gets you cable television as well. for free.
not that i advocate or would ever do this, but i figured i'd let you know, as knowledge is in fact power.
