Yeah, the day after kind of sucks.

"When I woke up this morning, just for a moment I wondered where you were and why you weren't there next to me."

"The apocalypse wasn't scheduled for today! Puppies were probably born somewhere! THERE IS NO BRIGHT SIDE!"

Viva la Not Ned!

The trip itself was actually kind of a nightmare. Everyone except Keith and his friends cancelled. I was scared to make eye contact with Christopher for about four hours after he picked me up. Our hotel room was missing a clock radio, a remote control, and a water spout, and was located right next to the lobby, which contained some very loud people. There was very little to see or do besides scenery and stacking rocks on top of other rocks. We ran out of a restaurant after being seated and realizing we couldn't afford anything on the menu. Everyone except me was exhausted by 11:30 on Saturday because grownups are sad like that. And then I missed my flight home and was *extremely* lucky to get a spot on the next one out.

It was awesome to see Keith and Kristen and Anne. I got a new copy of Settlers of Catan. I found a bunch of four-leaf clovers that I'm plotting to encase in resin(YAY NEW JEWELRY OPPORTUNITY) and there was some epic making out. I got yoinked onto someone's lap with a "C'mere, beautiful" that made me melt. Christopher got to visit his first Trader Joe's.

So, just to confirm what's been going on for about the last seven months...

I HAS A BOYFRIEND.

our lives are made
in these small hours
these little wonders,
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away,
but these small hours,
these small hours still remain

all of my regret
will wash away somehow
but i cannot forget
the way i feel right now

(yeah, I fail at life for posting Rob Thomas lyrics like a high schooler)
