I remember back then when my Mom would give me 3.00 so I can walk to the PX and buy 1 loaf of bread and 1 liter of milk. I didn't think anything of it back then since it gave me a reason to leave the house.
When I think about it now, I realize how she was struggling with money and that was all we had to eat. She didn't even want to send me out there since it was a 60 minute walk all together.
Two days ago, she bought a digital camera (about $200 worth). It's good to see that we don't have to worry as much anymore and since I started working at T-mobile, everything has been getting better.
But everytime I think about this, it actually makes me feel sad about the whole thing.
Is it because I was just a kid back then and I know better now?
