[Personality] Mitsuru can best be described as a perfectionist and pushes herself to convey herself as a flawless individual. For the majority of her lifetime, she has been striving toward eliminating anything she views as flaws. Intelligent, talked about amongst the student body, and poised, her appearance is often intimidating to other individuals. She has an affinity for academics, and is generally very studious. During her time in Gekkoukan, she is often seen participating in school-related activities or lounging in the dorm, an intellectual novel or textbook placed in her lap. An overachiever in every sense of the word, Mitsuru's organization skills are somehow unparalleled, despite juggling several duties. As a result of these combined factors, it is evident from the beginning that she has high expectations for herself.
However, Mitsuru is incapable of connecting with others. She pushes responsibilities onto others and encourages them to excel in their academic studies to the point where it may seem bossy and demanding. In her hidden mental code, it's an odd way of proving that she has entrusted them with such tasks and therefore, she respects them as an individual. As far as emotions go, she has a professional aura surrounding her. Her demeanor is cool and collected, rarely letting her emotions overpower her. In most situations, Mitsuru leans toward proper logic rather than following the path her feelings have paved for her. In fact, there are times where she feels that she does not even truly know herself or who she aspires to be. Her behavior leaves her isolated from the others, spending much more time inside of her own head than spending it by interacting with the environment enveloping her. When her future crumbles around her, she becomes terror-stricken until her loved ones persuade her to carry on. Free from the burden of carrying the Kirijo surname and legacy entirely, Mitsuru allows herself to relax. While her reputation is evidently something she will continue to take pride in, she finds herself viewing the world from a different point of view, considering herself to be one with it rather than above it like she had previously. Mitsuru regards it as living like a normal individual, even if she is far from one, and experiences tastes, sights, and sounds she would have otherwise never bothered with. Regardless, a part of her will always remain reserved and slightly guarded as she learns how to rely on instinct in lieu of just the logical aspects.
[Specialties/Abilities] Mitsuru is a Persona user - a human with the ability to provoke a representation of a section of their psyche. Unlike Minato Arisato (who can alternate between Personae with no difficulty), Mitsuru possesses one Persona. Penthesilea evolves into Artemisia, who specializes in ice and healing magic, as well as being able to scan the Shadows. However, the latter ability is rather weak and, eventually, the duty is handed to Fuuka.
