Selby and I were totally craving chocolate tonight and so we made a little trip to Safeway to get some. We got us some mini Halloween chocolate bars and also some supplies to bake some chocolate cupcakes. Selby's going to do that in a few minutes while I study. I just need to reread my fairytales, especially to notice the significant differences between versions (The ones I have to know are Three Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood, Little Red Cap, Cinderella, Ashputtle, Hansel and Gretel, Molly Whuppie, Jack in the Beanstalk, East of the Sun and West of the Moon, Sleeping Beauty, and Briar Rose). I have to write one essay that's something to do with two versions of a story, and one essay that's something about two different stories. If I get to pick, I think I will do either Little Red Riding Hood/Little Red Cap or Cinderella/Ashputtle. Anyways, I'd better get to it.

It's nowhere near the big deal that it is in the U.S., but nonetheless it's a holiday where we have turkey and pumpkin pie and be thankful for things that we have. Plans are finalized: Saturday and Sunday will be spent at The Farm (Dad's sister Susan, husband John, and kids Alexander (21), Jess (19... you've heard about her), and Bridget (13). One exciting thing to add into the equation: my Grandma Quinn flew out from Ontario yesterday. I don't get to see my grandma very much for very obvious geographic reasons, and so am quite excited to see her. My grandma is quite the jet-setting lady in her old age... she goes to Ireland every year, comes out here every couple of years, and went to Portugal a couple of years ago. She's very cute. :) Holiday Monday will be spent with my mom's brother Pete, his wife Lynda, and their two kids Amanda (10) and
