*is in a park, under some trees, next to his TARDIS which is disguised as a fountain* *has a book in his lap but isn't reading it*

*if one looks closely, he's muttering rhythmically to himself, staring into space while his eyes twitch to the same rhythm as his lips*

*slowly approaches, trying to calm him psychically, looking a bit worried*

*ignores him but obviously knows he's there* *twitches his head slightly in his direction, glancing at him once before going back to his staring*

*goes and sits on the ground near him* Daddah? What's happened?

*in clipped tones* Nothing's happened.

Let me help you. I can calm you. Or...at least go find Dad. *looks concerned*

*points at him rather abruptly, a knife in his hand and as the book slides from his lap, the laser screwdriver in the other* Don't move. Don't get him. If you get him, I'll kill him. I just... need... alone in the dark. Alone in the dark. *pulls his hand back to his lap, the blade singing in the air* Jax, I need time. Be quiet and still. *mutters* Blood feeds the drums.

*looks a little scared* Daddah..just...give me those. Let me help you.

*growls at him* Be quiet and still.

*frowns and nods, trying to send him calming and loving feelings*

*is a torment of drums and suffering!* *Jax's shiny happy feelings don't really make much of a dent in it, but it causes a bit of relaxation in his body*

*frowns and touches his leg* Daddah? Do you want to go for a walk?

*stabs the knife into a nearby tree and with shaking hands tucks the laser screwdriver into his shirt pocket, trying three times before managing it*

*looks frightened for a moment then calms a little, standing and holding out his hand to him*

*eyes him, then takes Jax's hand in his, palm sweaty and his fingers twitching rhythmically*

*holds his hand childish-like and leads him to a path round the park* *is constantly trying to calm him mentally* *after a while sees an interesting glowy butterfly animal and stops to study it* Daddah! Look at this! It's beautiful!

*leans his arm against a tree and watches him silently* I killed him once. Far beyond regeneration.
