(no subject)
had the most fantastic day yesterday!
woke up at 6:30am, showered, got dressed, got some stuff together while waiting for jewel to call and signal her awakeness, which she finally did at 7:15. Then I proceeded to pick her up, filled my tank up, then we headed straight for San Francisco!
about 3 hours later (got lost a couple times, plus traffic), we go to Louise's apartment. We went to the SF Zoo (<3!), then went to eat, went to the ocean -- Louise and I pretty much dove right in, ended up taking off our pants and just played all in the freezing water... jewel just watched, looked at shells, wrote in the sand, etc.. IT WAS THE MOST AMAZING THING EVER! I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!!!!!! Louise and I got a lot of weird looks, possibly because we were in our underpants playing in the ocean in April... but it was really rather easy to get used to the cold, so it was fine. though the black sand got everywhere (but it was so amusing to play with!). Also, the wind was pretty strong, and we ended up getting the sand flying at us at incredible speeds >_<
After that, we went back to Louise's to get warm and dry (next time I'm bringing a change of clothes). Then we went to Castro, where Jewel and I bought chocolate-covered naked women xD.
Oh, and there were tons of near-death experiences throughout the day - I HATE DRIVING IN SF! unprotected left-turns?! one-way streets! crazy road patterns! I swear, whoever designed the streets down there had Picasso influences and were on crack!!! Scary as FUCK! Still, it was bloody fantastic!
And we didn't end up getting here 'til 2-ish this morning... I had the hardest time staying awake while driving, though...
And... my car is sick again :'( after that big trip, though, it's a miracle she's still working as good as she is.
now, I go to work (12-4 HW, 5-close RT).
