Wasn't it supposed to rain today? I guess I missed the change in the forecast. In any case, I'm glad, because it made for a really lovely day of running about ( Read more... )

She reads LJ periodically but has computer issues so doesn't tend to post as much. Also, she has changed her name to Lily. :)

I don't want to speak for her definitively, but she hasn't done the ragties in quite awhile and has spoken of frustration that the price point at which they will sell doesn't cover the labor cost.

Regarding the tea, I haven't actually tried either of them yet. :P I went in there looking for something they apparently don't have (they used to have a blood-orange tisane, but no sign of it), and then was going to consider a couple of the flavors I've tried at theda and balzacq's monthly brunches (creamy Earl Grey and strawberry pepper, neither of which I got!), and then started looking at what else there was and kind of went off the deep end. I got the vanilla honeybush because I keep wanting a good vanilla, but realized that I tend to want that more in the evening and should not get it in a black, and got the pear to go with my general autumn-food theme for Sunday evening if people come over. Both of them smell really good and I've never been unhappy with a tea at Queen Mary, so I'm expecting I'll enjoy them.

Yeah, I'm not really expecting anything there. But I do apparently need to start doing more small hand movements to prevent further degeneration in them (so sayeth the doctor - ie, my sister - after today's examination), and tying ribbons in between papers (while I'm already getting paid to do something) seems like as decent a thing as anything else. (She had me using my exacto knife earlier to cut up a children's book. She's odd.)

I'm really interested in hearing what you think of the honeybush. I have a vanilla green tea from Germany that I love - but since Dad no longer goes to Germany, it's a precious cache. Another tasty low caffeine option at night would be awesome.
