I have a shit-ton of work to do (I'm busting my ass through an average of eight chapters a day on three different books right now), I'm still planning to start my gig with the flamingoes and red pandas on Wednesday which might also necessitate going to the zoo tomorrow to do paperwork, I hadn't bought boots yet, and I have a huge mountain of laundry to get through (not least so I have stuff to wear at the zoo and to dance class).
So of course today I started manifesting signs of a nasty cold, because right now is a terrible time for me to be ill.

I did get boots, thanks to morthael's generosity in taking the time to drive me up to Target, where I got a pair of cheap blue garden boots that will cover me for a couple of months. (I hadn't had time to hit all the places that might have quality boots in my size, and money's a little tight, so I just took what I could get and when I have a better idea of what all this calls for I'll take the time and money to invest in better boots.) But I owe him bigtime for that, since he's prepping for midterms right now, and will have to make it up to him at some point.
