homosexuality and false religions
This was a comment made and my response to it:
“How many times does man have to repeat the same mistakes? With our own conscience we know that there is a God but we would rather recognize evolution and other things instead of the Almighty. Why do we still give ourselves to imaginations of the human mind instead of trusting in the Creator? Every time man begins to take there eyes off of God the creator and focus on the creation God leaves us to our own ways. And ours ways are wicked. We want to have sex, lie, cheat, steal. But we have a want to find a ways to fill the void of God in our life but still wanting to hold on the all of the lust of the flesh. Not wanting to stop having sex before marriage (fornicating). Not wanting to stop drinking, smoking and clubbing. Instead of showing love to our brothers in sister when they do us wrong we rather cuss them out. We recognize something greater then ourselves but not wanting to give ourselves to it completely. So all of these false religions and beliefs are born to try to satisfy our need for God at the same time satisfy the flesh. This however never works. Nothing can take the place of God nothing. Not a drink, not a smoke not a one night stand or even a long term relationship were you are committing sin. You find as quickly as the high comes it goes. And you are still lonely and you still feel like something is missing. That missing piece is Jesus. You will never find peace without him. Your friends will let you down your family will let you down but the Almighty will never you or forsake you. No one our nothing can fill this void in you life except the Almighty God Jesus Christ. Not you boyfriend or girlfriend, not a mother or a father, brother, sister uncle, aunt, cousin not New age or Scientology. No one but Jesus the Christ.”
that is soo true and im thankful that you put it so well. someone asked me the other day when i was witnessing to a guy i work with about why there were so many religions. i tried to explain that, in Romans 1, the Bible clearly shows us that at one time, everyone knew the truth about God and simply rejected it.
Romans 1:18-25
"(18)For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness. (19) Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. (20)For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that were made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse. (21) Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. (22) Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, (23) And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. (24) Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves: (25) Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen."
God left them to their choices and they chose to sin their way away from Him. They started to worship things of the world instead of God himself, as you said, and thus gave rise to a multitude of false religions. however, the person was bent on mockery and maintained that there was no God, even though deep down inside he knows that there is a void in His life that will never be filled until he realizes what his whole being is longing for every moment that he's alive...the only one who could ever fill it...Jesus Christ. You may be a happy person in life, but you'll always be empty and spiritually dead until you are given that spiritual birth that only comes through the precious blood of Jesus Christ and the salvation it brings. The Bible goes on to address the idea of homosexuality as well, and i know this is a touchy subject, but this isnt my opinion here, this is my belief, and most importantly, God's word, so if theres an issue, take it up with Him.
Romans 1:26-28
"(26) For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: (27) And the likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and recieving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. (28) And even as they did not like to retain God in their kowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not conveinient;"
i do not agree with all of the rampant homosexaulity these days...its going to destroy our nation because it is one of the most severe disregards of Gods Holy word. Just look at Sodom and Gomorrah...its what they were known for. and now they're trying to pass a law to make them a minority?? c'mon now, does anyone else see a problem here? especially considering they dont qualify as a minority at all. Minorities that recieve legal recognition should only include those of people who were born with whatever aspect makes them a member of that minority. homosexuals were most definitely not born that way. it is a choice, no matter what anyone says. This is so clearly stated in God's word that i dont see how anyone could deny it. they chose to sin against God and live that abominable lifestyle. I believe that if a person who preferred that orientation were to truly be saved and get their heart right with God, they would not live that lifestyle anymore. they would realize how God sees it and turn from it. However, since this nation is leaning more and more toward an almost communist mentality everyday, people will probably not come to realize that unless we as God's people stand up and give them the good old fashioned word of God, not merely entertainment as we come in contact with them. When i say communist, it is ironic to think that America still uses a different scale of measurement to keep that out of our country, when all we're doing now is turning into one. this country was founded on the ideals of religious freedom. I may not agree with the muslim religion, but i believe they have a right to practice it. if they dont have the right to believe what they want to, then i dont have a right to believe what i want to. however, the laws that they are trying to pass now are positively pointless and an all out attack on the one true living God and his people.we are in a spritual war. they are taking all our rights away because they dont want to hear the truth of Gods word, because then they'll have to see their sin for what it really is and change. instead they just change the mirror their looking thru and try to wipe out all evidence of the truth, hence the attempted removal of "under God" from the pledge, taking the 10 commandments out of courthouses, the removal of prayer from schoold some years ago, etc. The government has already made it to where now, when you tell someone about God, you are liable to consequences. consequences for expressing your right to religious freedom! if it is in your religion to try to win souls, then who are they to say that you can't?? im not saying we should badger people by any means, but i actually know a teacher who taught at a christian school, and was reprimanded for explaining SALVATION to the students! isnt that insane??what kind of religious freedom is that?
