i met up with some of my danish friends when their school over there ran a trip to nyc and washington dc and it was great...ive also been meeting up with some of the americans here and there over the summer, and it has been really great also. going back to school in south jersey in a week

The only beach I've been to in nyc was coney island and that place is a little gross in terms of litter and the water and stuff. NYC might have some nice beaches off long island or somewhere, but I would figure most to be really crowded and thus a little polluted too. I'm not too sure but I think New Jersey has some good beaches in comparison. Nice and clean and some with boardwalks and small rides and stuff. New Jersey is pretty diverse in a lot of parts like NYC, and its also the most densely populated state...so it is a little crowded too but nothing like NYC. People in NYC are really nice I think, but also everyone in this area is in more of a hurry and sometimes definitely can be rude compared to other places in the world. I wouldnt generalize and say that new yorkers are rude though, and theres also so many different kinds of people that live there anyway.
I wanna go hitchhiking to california or maybe thru europe, maybe starting from Denmark!
