they are probably bff with the creators of the comm. Quality doesn't matter then.

Looking at the examples, and if I had to, I'd pick the second one.

lol, that was my 2nd favorite of them...
I guess it's all subjective.

OP here.

It is the second one, but it's easier to understand what I'm talking about if you look at the maker examples page.

Me either. There's one icon that looks really oversharpened, but I like the composition, and of course, sharpening varies greatly from monitor to monitor.

It looks kinda overly sharp on my monitor, but right now I'm crazy for that sort of thing, and it's right up my alley.

I honestly have no idea who you think the weak link is anon because I think they all make lovely stuff :/

What do you mean by quality anon? *is confused*

Is it in terms of not being polished and all that? Cause all the examples look fine to me at least.

OP here.

I think if you go to the comm's maker example page, it might be easier to see what I mean. Or at least who I mean, and then if you look at their personal journal what I mean will become even more clear.

1) I think they're all fine makers.

2) I don't see where the community blanketed themselves as an ~elite only community~ so I don't really see the problem? I mean, just a month or so ago people were complaining about multi maker communities that are exclusive and just steer towards elite only people and then when a community presents itself with people from all levels (again though, I do think all the makers are good makers) there's a complaint that one person is sub par and shouldn't be involved. Just like in life there will always be someone that is better than someone else, this community isn't any different but that's more than fine because like I said - they never really went into it labeling themselves an elite only/best of the best community.

It's true. When something's exclusive, there's a complaint. When a team tries to be maybe more inclusive and show off makers that aren't as well-known, someone still ends up complaining. It's all just a matter of perspective, really. The OP sees quality issues in one of those people's works, and the rest of us don't see anything wrong. I think every maker has his/her own merits, no matter what their skill set or level of experience. If tht person was invited onto that team, she's clearly doing something that whoever began the team enjoys, and that's all there is to it!
