#1: I think something more could have been done to this icon. I love that it's a close crop of the face, but I think it might have been too close, and I can't really tell if anything else has been to it. I think you could have played around with colorings and contrasts and lighting and vibrancies and all that to really make something a bit more dramatic.
#2: Similar to the first icon, I just think something more could have been done to this. It's very simple, although I do love the shadows on the right side of the icon. Also, and maybe it's just my monitor, but the first two icons both look a little oversharpened and washed out.
3. This is such a gorgeous icon! I don't have any criticism for it at all :D
4. This feels off balance. One of the squares is much brighter than the other, and they're cropped differently. I feel like I don't really understand why these two pictures were chosen to be side by side, and I also feel like something (maybe text?) should be in the negative space.
5. I like the idea in this one, but I don't really feel like the guns fit in very well, especially the black one. It looks really out of place. The white one doesn't fit in very well either, especially pointing into the ground like is. But I really like the idea of a sort of "torn" or "ripped apart" icon.
