Your crop work is really neat, especially in icon #4. Your colouring is nice too, even when I think you could try out more colours (just go crazy with them! XD).
The only thing I really want to point out is that your icons look very blurry. I guess you work with "Soft Light" and "Gaussian Blur"?! I do this too, but I also sharpen my icons after I used these two actions. I think the blurry effect works well on some icons (like your fourth one), but it looks strange on icon #1 and #3!
I think that #2 is really good. Love the coloring!
I think that the coloring and crop in the first one looks really good - I like how vibrant her hair is. I also love the vibrant color in 4. 1, and 4 looks a bit too blurry, especially her face. What I usually do after using a blur filter and soft light is go back to the base layer (make a copy) and use the sharpening tool set on low strength on areas like eyes, mouth, jawline etc that I want sharper. You could also try using a layer mask on the blurred layer and mask the areas you want sharper. I think making parts of her face (right/top) less bright will alsomake her face come into focus more.
I really like the colors in number one. Karen's red hair goes well with the green background. I also like the crop. My only problem with it is the blurriness. In my opinion it's just a little too blurry, to the point where one of her eyes looks a little like an empty socket. But that could be masked away and I don't mind the rest of the blurriness. It gives the icon a really soft feel despite the wonderfully vibrant colors.
I don't have a problem with the blurriness in icons 3 or 4. It actually works really well in the 4th icon.
I think the vibrant colors and soft look fits icon 1 very well. Maybe a little sharpening for the eyes on that one would improve it. I think a bit of sharpening for the eyes in the third one would help make the icon pop more. My opinion on 4 is that either the highlights are a bit too bright or it's the blurriness, because there's just a white space where the curve of her nostril and cheek would be, but again, nice coloring.

Haha, yes, I am addicted to Gaussian Blur and Soft Light layers. I am not very good with the sharpening after bit. :P
