The White Rose Took Me Back

So, i'm back here in the states....
It's been one hell of a journey today. I've managed to stay awake for the past 25 hours and endure mostly all possible forms of travel to get me here.
I started out with my taxi picking me up at the flat at about 10 minutes past 5 uk time, and managed to catch my train from Edinburgh down to London. It was a quiet and sad journey. I tried putting on a trigger happy dvd to cheer myself up but it just wasnt working. Following my delayed train trip into London, I caught a bus (trying to avoid the tub) to heathrow. From there I proceeded to drink massive amounts of stella in the pub just below departures. Well worth spent I must admit.

So onwards the plane crossing, avoiding the scuff I had with the check in lady on reasons why I should be bumped up to a higher class for free, was really really bumpy. The tubulance the whole way across the ocean kept the cabin crew from serving coffee or tea. With that in mind, I just drank 4 bottles of whine and a couple of beers. Common, its free with british airways!!!

The landing was something not to forget. There was a back up at philadelphia so we kept on doing circles around Atlantic City (I counted 8 times!!!) untill we finally came in for approach. Just about a couple yards from the runway, the pilot put the airplane into full throtle and took us above the clouds again. At that time, my heart skipped a beat. Ten minutes later, the landing was tried again and rather more smooth than any other large aiplane landing that I have ever been on before.

I dont know what to think of being here so far. I keep on feeling the shakes of the airplane just lying here in bed just now. Its so weird being here again. The one place that I tried so hard to get away from. I think I may be a different person for some time, untill I really find where my heart really is.
