I'm not going to even bother to debate Reagan's record anymore, so this statement isn't about that. If you want to make a comment here about that, don't bother...I know what you think, already

...that is your right. I intentionally entered it in my journal and not yours because I'm really not interested in starting a flame war, especially over Corn's "innocuous" story. You can just expect that if the discussion turns to politics, I'm going to disagree with you, to put it lightly.
I've been listening to similar sentiments quite a bit in the past week, and I really had enough at that point.
The purpose of this journal even existing isn't to start conversations with everyone...I can do that without the journal. I speak my mind, and if someone takes issue with that...you always have the option of not reading it. Nothing personal, but it exists for me and not so much anyone else.
I had to go back and re-read my entry to make sure that I didn't do any name calling or anything similarly juvenile...which I didn't. If you think that the opinions expressed on free markets and press, the Reagan record, and the current events in the media are insulting to you, then you are either hyper-sensitive or are reading into what I wrote in a way that I can't even imagine. It's no secret to you or anyone else where I stand politically, and I typically dodge issues which are more incendiary and will only make people angry.
Thus, I don't want to discuss it. I know full well what people on the liberal/socialist side of the aisle think, and I don't agree with it. I don't need another arguement to decide that.
If you're going to throw bombs, expect that there will be a response. When that response is restrained and not even in your *own* journal, don't plead hurt and innocence.
To sum up: I am not a news organization. I'm not obliged to give equal time. It's my journal, and it will have my opinon in it...which shouldn't be a revelation to anyone.
