btw, i'm pretty sure obama saved the country.

if john mccain were in office there'd be a total stalemate of government, and while I'm not trying to sound crazy here, but there's a good chance we'd all be in deep shit right now. I called this all before the election, that he'd get in, and he'd make firm, politically taxing descisions but at least wall-street would stop panicking. All we ever needed was descisiveness and honesty from our leader. Bush outright ignored the problem until Bear Sterns, when ben bernanke showed up at the white house and pounded the idea into his head.

I hate overhearing people talk about these stupid flashpoints the republicans keep digging out of the ground, like this pelosi bull, or Obama's pick of a totally experienced, qualified judge. I think the party is hemmorraging and michael steele, newt gingrich, bill o'reily, rush limbaugh, shawn hannity, bobby jindall, and sarah palin are the only voices being heard. What kind of party is that? It's one hijacked by the parasitic fox news. I truly thank rupert murdoch for the republican downfall, though bush started the job, fox news has fear-mongered the party into a bunch of narrow-minded xenophobes.

Their numbers still aren't recovering, even though they have an easy, simple strategy to assault this big spending government. It's because they've totally lost touch with the issues. It's the definition of conservatism. Society always progresses* and the conservative wing always loses in the long run.

I'm alone, and I don't have anyone to rant to while my tv dinner was cooking. So, sorry, I know no one likes politics. But I'm right. *sigh*

UPDATE: I just watched a video which has completely changed my mind about politics and made me switch parties. Well spoken, young conservatives.

jesus this is so bad. I've got a new catchphrase. "We're young conservatives, son!"

*except for instances like the dark ages.
