I would just like to inform the public of this:
An icon in this batch, of Gakum, was removed at an icon contest due to a huge misunderstanding that I am acutally dissapointed about. This is because I feel the situation was treated poorly. What bothers me more though is that this may give me a false image and I would like everyone that I do not break rules, nor do I go and advertise my icon and cheat if it is in a contest. Actually, this was the first real icon contest that I have entered. I read the rules and followed. Apparently I did not and was disqualified.
Really it was a very large misunderstanding and even when I tried to explain myself it was more like talking to a wall and nothing was solved. It can't be fixed now, but if you recognize this icon from the contest and see that is was the diqualified one, there was a post earlier that you must have seen to as to why the icon was removed. I would just like it to be known that I am not a bad person and did not cheat, critisize or break the rules.
I can't do anything about stolen icons or if my friends or other people see the icon and use it. The same way I can't do anything about forcing credit onto others. What I can say is if someone sees my icon and uses it, friend or other internet goer, I won't stop you or say "hey you can't do that!" And if you credit me, even better. Then I certainly won't stop you. I make these icons for people to enjoy and use-- 100x100 pixels of crack and joyness. And especially if you are my friend and use my icon then I really won't stop you. And if you are my friend then you may even know my recent works or what-not that I am doing because we are around one another. But I don't advertise or push or pull my friends to help me cheat at all.
In short, my crap and work, drawings or icons or whatever, are all over the place. I do what I can to control it so things work and drama does not start, but I can't always becaues the internet is a constant going of people taking this or that, using whatever and only looking for more. There are things we can control and other things we can't and a whole lot of coincidence going on and this situation was just one of those.
Really, I don't care too much about being disqualified because I know what went on and know when to stop and where to stand. What I don't want is for people to look at me and think "Ugh, she cheated" or anything wrong or foul like that. I don't want this to stop anyone from talking to me or being afraid to talk to me. SO yes, I was a little hurt by it being public but i still want to share this icon so people cna enjoy it and maybe laugh.
Thanks for reading this if you did. It really means a whole lot to me if you do and whatever you think you are very free to. I hope you still enjoy my icons, my offbeat humor in them, and whatever laugh or 'wtf' I give you.
