Okay, my question is this: Do you know anything about the drive time between Gotham and Hudson University?

Not too sure, a couple of hours at least, perhaps three I'd guess (Less if he uses a Batcycle and it's an emergency).

Dick could drive back to Gotham for the weekend, but usually didn't.

I am obsessed with Dick Grayson's transportation issues. And I just realized that in Gotham he'd probably have to stay at the penthouse by then.

Robin had his R-cycle, but Dick had his own mini-van, where, amongst other things, he usually stored the R-cycle.

And he did indeed have his own room(s) in the penthouse whenever he visited.
