i would like to know how to make these i see some people make these and i'm just wondering if anyone has a tutorial

i'm guessing but i think they put the picture with the group of people (i think from hsm? lol) on top of the pink layer then, they pasted that group picture on top and used the lasso tool at feather: 20 px

forgot to add: then they would wrap the top area where you see the pink fading as it goes down...

I'm not good at this thing but they both like brush tool or
open 100x100 fill it with what colour you want then past your icon,erase the parts you don't need(low opacity)

Use a brush tool with the color you want and color the top part of the picture and then use smudge tool and smudge the parts that you don't want

For the first one, I would put the layer of pink over the base, then use the rectangular marquee tool and select the area that I wanted to fade. Then feather it about 10-20 pixels and hit delete.

For the second one, I think that they used the lasso/magnetic lasso tool to select Hudgens, then feather it about 5-10 pixels. Then use the move tool to move the picture onto the grey base.
