yeah, i'm kinda anxious about your thoughts!
so please, comment if you're using this, or
just like it or have anything to say. just,
comment away! :D

GOOD FOR
red/orange-y images.

BAD FOR
blue/green-y images.

CONTAINS
curves, selective coloring, channel mixer, photo filter.

♥ prepare your image. resize, crop, whatever.
if your image's looking too dark, use a couple of screen layers.
sharper, blur, auto contrast - it's all part of the adjustments.
however, i tend to do the screen layers when i'm finished. your pick.

this is my base - image thanks to BonnieWrightOnline.com!

♥ we're gonna start with a curves layer. i want the image to look lighter,
yet i want to maintain the contrast. so, i used these settings:

RGB
first point - I:47 O:30
second point - I:197 O:200

to

♥ then we have, yet, another curves layer. this time, i want to bring out
the yellow-ness on the image. so, we're gonna mess with:

RED
first point - I:50 O:55
second point - I:170 O:168

GREEN
first point - I:36 O:39
second point - I:179 O:184

BLUE
first point - I:53 O:44
second point - I:193 O:199

to

♥ next, i want the coloring to pop out just a bit.
we're gonna use a hue/saturation layer with:
saturation: +5

to

♥ this time, i want the reds to pop and fade a bit of the
yellows, in order for our beloved ginny not look sick.
create a new selective coloring layer and use:

YELLOWS
c: -65
m: +4
y: +24
b: -25

WHITES
c: +100
m: -6
y: -10
b: +5

NEUTRALS
c: +2
m: -2
y: -4

to

♥ onto our dear channel mixer layer, because
i want bonnie's skin to appear paler, like
her own - and maintain the blue-ish effect.

RED
red: +98
green: -4
blue: +2

BLUE
red: +2
green: -2
blue: +104

to

♥ next, duplicate your base, bring it to the top
and change the mode to luminosity. the opacity
will depend on how light or dark your icon is,
so you might as well change it in the end.
i set mine at 60% of opacity.

to

♥ create a new photo filter layer and use the
filter Underwater, with 20% of density.
set it to soft light, and again, the opacity
will depend on your icon.
mine's at 34% of opacity.

to

♥ here are other examples:
please keep in mind the settings i use do NOT
work for every image! you'll have to change them,
depending on the type of image you have. (:
