I'd suggest hanging out at/friending the community texturize.

I edited the post. Can't remember the second one is from but I'm sure in my resources list somewhere.
But yeah I just keep tabs mostly on icon_textures, texturize and icon_extras for nice textures/resources.
The images are mostly from stock sites like gettyimages and flickr.
