Help! I recently switched to a Mac, which seems to have different color settings for Photoshop CS...?

Whenever I try to work with an image, the final result always turns up darker than it actually appears online. I took screen-captures of what I see, and then what comes up in the preview window when I click the "Save for Web" option.

AAH! You rock! I've been looking for that color management tutorial to put up here!

*high fives you*

That should help more than anything, I think.

Ooh, I think aquamarcia's tutorial helped a lot with the calibration of my actual monitor. Thanks!

As for the settings you have, do you have a higher version of PS? Because I can't seem to find the "Monitor RGB - Photoshop" option for the RGB working space setting. I have "Monitor RGB - Color LCD Calibrated," do you think that's pretty much the same?

Got it. Sorry! Summer vacation's already starting to melt the brains.

The display's looking a lot better. Thanks. :-)

I've had this problem ever since I got my PS Elements. I could NOT find a solution anywhere. I finally took the desaturation into account when making my icons/manips, but it's very frustrating not knowing exactly what your final product will look like until you web save it.

Your information on color calibration for MACs is fantastic. I never realized that folks with PCs were seeing a different image. I've now adjusted my color accordingly, and it has corrected the problem 100%. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
