easily translatable. ;] NOTE: the image should be a greyscaled image.
if it is not grey, the colors may look wrong.

turn this
into:

a. i will be using [ this picture ] which i found on [ here ]
take that picture & crop it to your size & choosing. I made mine 100x100 & got [ this ]

b. make a new layer and fill it with #060f84, which is a blue color.
set the layer to exclusion at 100%.

c. make another new layer and fill it with #701a21, which is a dark red color.
set the layer to screen at 100%.

d. copy the original layer [ the background layer ], drag it to the top & set it to hard light at 100%.

e. layers > merge > merge all (flatten)

f. adjust > brightness and contrast > brightness/contrast.
set the brightness to 5 and the contrast to 10.

(this next step is optional.)
g. adjust > photo fix > digital camera noise removal.
make sure link detail sizes is checked.
in small, type in 20.0. medium and large should change to 20.0 as well.
make sure correction blend is 70.0 and sharpening is 0.0.
