Can anyone point me in the direction of some tutorials dealing with black and white icons? Thanks in advance. :)

p.s: you should mention what software you use.

I don't mean this to be a personal attack against you, op, not at all, but has anyone noticed the whole "enchancing b/w pictures" is probably the most common thing asked here? There's a new entry for it almost every day. :-D

I noticed that too! I really can't understand it. Any more and I'll start getting annoyed. :P

Really? I notice more posts for lens flares/icon coloring (selective coloring)/and all of the other trends waaaay more than I see posts for black and white icons. Just saying. ;)

Are you making icons for the new PV? XDXD

Sorry, no tutorial linkage, but I had to comment. Though, I usually make my b&w icons the same way I make any icon. I'll duplicate the base, and use blending modes to see what looks good. Mess around with textures and gradients. Or whatever, until I come up with something I like.

>.>.. <.<.. maybe! Don't tell anyone! xDD I may not have really enjoyed the PV much but it's still icon material. 8D

I do appreciate the advice though. ^_^ I swear I have the most trouble with black and white images. So hard to figure out what to do with them when there's no color already involved.~
