I was wondering how to get the broken, technical distortion type effect seen on the images / websites under the jump.
I use Adobe Photoshop 7.

Looks like a filter effect from Unlimited Filters. Could be AndrewsFilters, or maybe Kangs. Or Filter Factory. Google them and see what you find. I don't have any urls handy, and they change all the time anyway.
