1). open a New Image 2). fill with the color of your choice 3). open the flag image, resize, copy and paste as new layer 4). apply text (you may do this in three seperate layers; zachery, .efron, 08) 5). with the 08 vector layer selected, go to Selections > From Vector Object 6). go to Selections > Modify > Expand (choose 2-3 pixels) 7). have your background layer selected, then use the fill tool to fill the active vector selection with white.
What I actually did for my icon was I found a normal campaign sticker on google, cropped it down to 100x100, then erased the actual text (kept the flag and the '08) and wrote in the new names in a similar font. Pretty easy.
I'd also like to know if you'd be willing to share that icon...? Too wonderful. Although the thought of House actually as President is a little bit scary, come to think of it.
Haha, I think we used the same campaign sticker; I just replicated it instead of just using the actual thing. I love yours so much more, though- especially the text! FTW, definitely. =)
