I made the following icon, but for the life of me, I can't remember how I got the coloring. I know there have to be soft light and exclusion layers, but other than that, I'm in the dark. Can anyone help me?

Ugh, sorry I can't help you, buuuut I would like to say that I do that ALL the time. I make icons and graphics, and can't remember how I did it. It drives me crazy. So yeah, you're not the only one :)

I would duplicate your base, set it to soft light, then make a new layer, fill it with light blue and set it to burn. Then I would use a dark blue exclusion layer. Maybe two. ^.^

Okay, I was just trying it out, and I think I got close:

1. Prepare your base, then merge.

2. Duplicate your base, and set it to soft light.

3. Fill a new layer with light blue and set it to soft light. Lower the opacity a little, if it's too bright.

4. Fill a new layer with bright yellow and set it to overlay. Lower the opacity to about 10-20.

5. Fill a new layer with dark blue and set it to exclusion.

6. Copy merged, paste as new layer, and set it to exclusion. Lower the opacity to about 15-30.
