Awesome tutorial! Do you know how I can get more natural colors or maybe blue colors into the icon? I think the green looks a lil bit weird..XD

to get more blue in it, maybe duplicate step 4, or you can try adding a light red layer set to multiply somewhere? not sure if that will help at all, but still...
