Simple coloring tutorial

1.
First thing I do is crop using the crop tool. I set it too 100x100px and select where I want to crop then double click it and it does the cropping&resizing itself.
2.
Then I duplicate my base and set it to screen, I made this layer around 80% but it depends on the base you're working on so set it to what works.
3.
After that I duplicate the base layer again and desaturate it, set it to soft light and bring it to the top.
4.
Next I make a new color balance layer (layers>new adjustment layer>color balance) and set it to: -40, 0, +20 on midtones.
5.
Finally, make a new hue&saturation layer (layers>new adjustment layer>hue and saturation) and set the saturation to +25. Then merge your layers, save, and you're finished! Very very easy.
