Well I tweeked around with your image a bit and got this:
Basically what I did was take the Free Selection Tool, select the right eye and paste that into a new layer. I mirrored it and pasted it onto the left eye. I then took the Free Selection Tool once more and selected the Iris. In this case I rotated it by 5 degrees to left and pasted it onto the previously pasted layer.
Then I took the Clone tool and went round removing the white bits from her face and glasses.

I had tried doing things like that, but they never ended up looking very good - but I guess it'll just take some practice
