Can someone give their thoughts on Ulead Animator 5.0 a friend told me about it but I am apprehensive, this will be my first animation download and don't want to get something I may not like.
I want to make gif icons, so I'm not always asking help from a friend.

Ulead GIF Animator is very good for making animated GIFs, but less good at being an image editor. Try it and if you feel like it's lacking editing features, supplement it with another image editor like GIMP.

I use photobucket for my images is that a good image editor for Ulead?

Photobucket is not an image editor, but rather a company that offers webspace for people to put up images.

An image editor is software like Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, GIMP, and others. Ulead GIF Animator will do some image editing, but not to the same degree of sophistication as those other programs.
