This is my first tutorial so be kind!
Going from this to
Using PS CS2, but easily translatable!
Other icons made like this-
First, crop and sharpen your image (as usual)
Duplicate the image and set to 'screen' at 90%
Make a new layer and fill with a bark blue (I used #211293). Set it to 'exclusion' at 70%
Make another new layer, fill it with a light blue (I used #B3F6F5). Set this layer to 'soft light' at 100%
Now, duplicate your base, drag it to the top and set to 'softlight' at 90%
Duplicate your base again, drag to the top, and set to 'multiply' at 10%
Now, duplicate your base again. Drag to the top and set to'softlight' at 90%
FINISHED! Just flatten your image and add any brushes or text you want!
