How do I get rid of shadows?
I'm having a real problem with some caps I'm trying to make icons out of. In quite a few of them a character's face is half covered by shadow (like this one or this one). When I get the shadowed part light the rest of the face looks too light and then when I try to do a dark coloring (which is what I'm currently into) teh shadowed side looks too dark and the person they're torn between the light and dark side. I did hear curves suggested when someone else asked a smiliar question and I've tried but it doesn't seem to help (well, I can't get it to). I'd be very appreciative of any help or suggestions you can offer. Thanks!
