It's possible they used a curves layer. I would guess just the red setting maybe. Try clicking the line right in the center, then doing a lower click and dragging that to the right a bit. If that doesn't work, keep the lower click stationary and drag the upper one to the left. There could also be a tan layer set to multiply on low opacity...
Actually, I never used curves at all. I don't really remember what I did, but when I have time, I'll try and figure out what it was I did to get that effect.
