not quite an icon tutorial, but very useful when making icons

I've seen a lot of questions about screencapping lately, so I decided to show people how I do it.
It can be done without any fancy capping programs.

This tutorial is for Photoshop Elements 2.0, I'm not sure if it translates to other versions of Photoshop or PSP.

(all thumbnails open in a new window)
Step 1:
Go to File>Import>Frame From Video...

Step 2:
A video player will pop up. Click on the button that says "Browse" to choose your video.

Step 3:
I realize that it's not totally necessary to show this step, but you know...everybody point and laugh at how OCD I am about organizing files.

Step 4:
Do like the player says and "Use the playback controls or the slider to choose which frame you want to capture, then press Grab Frame."
(It was pointless for me to screencap this because it did the whole black screen where the video should be thing...)

Step 5:
When you have all the frames you want, click the button that says "Done." Your frames are ready to play with. In most cases, the caps will be the same resolution as the original video.

(The top picture is a frame I capped from the video. The bottom one is where I put some together to make an animation.)

Crappy Examples of icons made from Photoshop screencaps:

not animated-

Notes:
Longer videos might give you trouble as far as capturing the exact frame you want, but with patience it can be done.
Works for *.avi, *.wmv, *.asf, *.mpg, *.m1v
Does not work for *.mov, *.dat, *.vob or capping directly from dvd

I hope you found this tutorial useful (it's my first time writing any kind of tut, so be nice)
