But, in the future, after you've loaded all your custom brushes from all the brush packs, go into preset manager (under the arrow in brushes) and highlight all your custom brushes, then click save, so if they disappear again, you'll only have to reload one .abr rather than 50+ brush packs :)
I learnt the hard way and had to reload lots of brushes on multiple occasions over a few days, needless to say it was very annoying :P
Luckily, I've only had CS2 for like two weeks and have collected only some brushes. But I'll definitely take that into consideration. Thanks for your advice. ♥
