This is so not dial-up friendly.

Basically, we're going to learn to create a easy blinkie in The GIMP. (As there really aren't enough tutorials for this program.) Per request of kt_stars. And yes, this is first tutorial. So I'm really not going to show more than what I have to. I figure that some things are just basic knowledge by now. If you wish to see ( Read more... )

*grins* That's one of my favorite lines from the entire movie, followed up by the audience sreaming "The banister's lucky!"

Thanx for the tutorial, I just downloaded GIMP and really wanted to experiment, so now I'll start with this.

Another note, I see people telling me to credit if I borrow icons, good idea i thinx but I don't know how, do I do it in the profile or... just need to know if I ever should borrow an icon. Think I'd rather have my own though, but you never know.

You're welcome. :) You might want to check out gimp_users for everything GIMP related.

Well, you can credit by merely placing in the username in the keywords for the pictures. As you can see here, the icons that I borrowed from others are signified by the []s. In the case of a couple of my icons, I credited the artist, as I didn't create the artwork. All I did was crop and fiddle with the pics. That's basically how you credit icons. It's just to let people know where you got the icon from.

But I know what you mean. I dislike borrowing icons from others, so I learned how to make my own.

You are amazing! I've been moaning to my PSP endowed friends for months that you can't make animated icons in GIMP and, lo and behold, you can!

Thank you!
